Throughout 2016 we celebrate our unique sense of place, our cultural heritage, and our people. The whole community is working together to create events with meaning for people of all ages and especially families. We’ll have fun together, promote community identity, and foster partnerships to keep Nob Hill great and make it even better.


February 5- Refiling the Plat of Nob Hill

30 friends and neighbors gathered at the Bernalillo County Courthouse to re-enact the filing of the plat for the first part of Nob Hill by Col. D.K.B. Sellers on February 7, 1916. Warm thanks to County Clerk Maggie Toulouse Oliver for personally hosting the event and to County Commissioner Maggie Hart Stebbins for reading the proclamation of Sunday, February 7, 2016 as Nob Hill is 100 Day in Bernalillo County. Thanks to City Councilor Pat Davis for proclaiming the day Nob Hill is 100 day in Albuquerque.

April 24 – La Montanita Co-op’s Earth fest

The largest Earth Day festival in the state hosted by La Montanita Co-op.

April 30 – Nob Hill is 100 Unleashed – Pet Parade and Fair

Create a costume for yourself and your pet and join the parade through Nob Hill. Proceeds benefit area animal welfare agencies.

May 22 – Nob Hill Insider’s Tour

Our many well-preserved historic buildings give Nob Hill its unique sense of place. Join this rare opportunity to receive a docent-guided tour through area landmarks not normally open to the public.

July 15-17 – Route 66 Summerfest

The largest street festival in New Mexico, Route 66 Summerfest is a culturally-rich day
and night full of family-friendly events and attractions.

September 17 – 35¢ Chicken Dinner

In the 1930s the ladies of Monte Vista Christian Church held 35¢ Chicken Dinners to raise money for their first building. Join us for this throwback event sponsored by Shamrock Foods.

November 5 – Nob Hill Main Street Annual Dinner

Come mix and mingle with Nob Hill business and property owners, City and State officials, and local residents. This dinner is held to support the important work of economic development and historic preservation in Nob Hill.

December 1 – Nob Hill Holiday Shop and Stroll

Enjoy incredible holiday sales and specials, strolling musicians, carolers, and other street performers all while supporting local businesses.

December 31 – New Years Eve Chile Drop

Ring in the new year with Kaktus Brewing Co., Studio N, and Nob Hill Main Street. The 2016 event will be bigger and better than ever!
